Our woman's team, playing in the HNA League is looking for spring/summer players. Preferable tier 3/4; with a few years previous playing experience. - Fees will be ~$270 - 16 Regular Season Game - 75 Minute Ice Slots - Monday to Thursday only - May 6 to August 8 - Single Elimination Playoffs for Qualifying Teams - Detailed Stat Tracking & Regular Website Updates - Awards to winning teams. - No games on the weekends, holiday Mondays on the long weekends or during Stampede week. - Skating at Chestermere, North East Sportsplex, Cardel, East Calgary Twin arenas, Fairview, and others.
We are a fun group of ladies looking for players with a few years or more playing time. |

2nd annual Kelly Reitenbach Memorial Calgary Fury are hosting a coed tournament - on May 4-6, 2012 at Crowchild Twin Arenas. 8 teams, 4 games. $850 per team. I’m not sure if you have heard of the new WNCHL league launching in a few week for the remainder of the summer season. The whole idea of our league is a ``For Women, by Women`` concept that we have been working with various women that play in leagues all over the city to bring a new view on women`s hockey to Calgary. Our website is www.WNCHL.com and we are currently taking registrations for the summer season that will fall right in line with the ending of the Spring league you are playing in. You have the option of signing up as an individual or as a team within the league. All information regarding the league and pricing etc can be found on the WNCHL website. We are also holding committee meetings to help develop the league concept, these have been ongoing for the last few months and anyone that sits in on a meeting and provides input also receives a team discount of $400.00 to be applied to the full team fees.

Cochrane Women's Recreation Hockey team is looking for more players
August 2011: Cochrane Women's Recreation Hockey team is looking for 4 or 5 more players to join their fun-loving group of experienced hockey players, aged 20 to 50. (Sorry, no beginners) Home games are Sunday evenings at 6:30 PM at the original Cochrane Arena. We play in the intermediate-advanced tier of a rec league that includes teams in our region (Cremona, Sundre, Calgary, Airdrie, etc.). We do not play on long weekends or other family holidays. Costs are about $400 for the year (30 to 35 games), including insurance, referees and uniforms. We play in 2 or 3 tournaments per year. Donna Woo and Laura Milne are going to be doing a pre season hockey camp focusing on conditioning, skating, stick handling, positional play and developing hockey imagination. Once you have the basic skill you can then develop the imagination for the game and scoring opportunities. If you know of anyone who might benefit from this or may be interested please feel free to pass this on to them.
